Build a project Safety Pack (RAMS + CPP + sign-off)
The Project Safety Pack add-on gives you a proper Risk Assessment + Method Statement and Construction Phase Plan for every job — with digital installer sign-off. First one takes 10 minutes; every one after that takes about 2.
Before you start
The Safety Pack module needs to be active on your workspace. If you don't see it in the sidebar, add it under Billing → Add-ons → Project Safety Pack for £49/month.
Step-by-step
- 1
Open the Safety Pack wizard on a live job
Open a live job → Safety Pack → New pack. The wizard asks a handful of job-specific questions (site type, access, working at height, hot works, occupied site, principal contractor, etc.).
Each answer swaps in the right risks, method statements and control measures — you don't have to write anything from scratch.
- 2
Review the auto-generated pack
Keystone builds a full RAMS + Construction Phase Plan tailored to that job. Read through it, tweak anything specific to your site (usually 2-3 lines), and add any project-specific hazards the wizard didn't ask about.
The pack is written in plain English that principal contractors and insurers actually accept — not generic CDM boilerplate.
- 3
Save it as a template
This is the compounding win. Once you have a pack you're happy with, click Save as template. Give it a memorable name ("Standard install", "High-level access", "Occupied site", "Groundworks only").
On the next similar job, start from the template instead of the wizard — you'll tweak 2-3 job-specific lines and be done in under 2 minutes.
Most workspaces settle on 3-5 templates that cover the bulk of what they do.
- 4
Send to the installer for digital sign-off
Click Send for sign-off. The assigned installer gets an in-app notification with a link that opens the pack on their phone.
They read it, tap Sign, sign on the screen with their finger. Keystone records their name, timestamp and GPS location automatically and embeds the signature in the PDF.
Multiple installers on one job? Send the reminder to the outstanding people and keep each acknowledgement separate. You see who's signed and who hasn't at a glance.
- 5
Retrieve a signed pack any time
Every signed pack lives on the job forever. If a client, PC or insurer asks for proof, open the job → Safety Pack → Download signed PDF. Takes 5 seconds.
You can also share a signed pack via a public link (expiring or permanent) without giving anyone access to your workspace.
